Appleton Papers reports sales drop

APPLETON - Appleton Papers this week reported business reorganization expenses and a move to drop carbonless paper sales in some markets led to 0.9 percent net sales drop in 2012 when compared to a year ago.

The company said net sales for the year totaled $849.8 million, down from $857.3 million in 2011. It said fourth quarter 2012 net sales of $205.5 million were flat when compared with fourth-quarter 2011.
