Drummond boys basketball coach Josh Hanson realized in December what every team that played N.E.W. Lutheran found out this season.

"We learned that they are a good team," said Hanson, whose squad lost to the Blazers 45-41 at the Shawano Sun Drop Shootout at the Kress Events Center on Dec. 27. "They have a good, balanced attack. They also play good defense."

Less than three months later, the teams meet again with a lot more at stake in a WIAA Division 5 state semifinal at 1:35 p.m. Thursday at the Kohl Center in Madison. ...
