State, national milk prices likely to drop

Wisconsin farmers are expected to see an 80 cent per hundredweight drop in milk prices from January to February.

The average price paid to the state's dairy farmers in February is expected to be $19.70 per hundredweight, down from $20.50 in January.

The national average is expected to be $19.40 per hundredweight, a 50-cent decline from January.

Final numbers for February will be released at the end of the month.
