No jail time given in club embezzlement

A former Suring woman who stole nearly $10,000 from the Suring Antique Tractor Association avoided a jail time at her sentencing last week in Oconto County Circuit Court.

Laurie A. Fetterly, 52, pleaded no contest Feb. 25 to misdemeanor theft before Judge Jay N. Conley, who withheld sentenced and granted her one year in Oconto County VIP.

Conley also ordered her to perform 60 hours of community service, as part of what he acknowledged was a very lenient sentence to a much-reduced charge. ...
