APPLETON - Appleton Xavier pounced on the Panthers Saturday to end Oconto Falls' run in the state Girls Basketball Tournament.

Xavier outscored outscored Ocoto Falls 15-6 in the final quarter and 6-1 in the final 3 minutes to rally for a 41-36 victory.

McKenna Larsen powered Oconto Falls with 16 points.

The Panthers advanced to the regional final after handling Northland Pines, 47-33 on Friday night in a game at Oconto Falls.

Larson led the Panthers with 17 points and Carly Lemke added 14.
