Local entrepreneurs eye new Sheboygan-based social media download

Two entrepreneurs are unveiling a new Sheboygan-based social media company this week that will offer gift cards to online users who share posts about their experiences with consumer products and brands.

The start-up, Yappem, has already attracted support from several major U.S. companies, including McDonald's and Hasbro, and will be showcased along with other emerging tech companies this weekend during the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.

The company's free app will be available for download this week for the iPhone, Android phones and at yappem.com. ...
