The City of Sheboygan is moving forward with plans to levy special assessments to pay for the reconstruction of Eisner Ave. from N. 21st Street to N. Eighth Street.

The Common Council passed a resolution on Monday giving the city's engineering office the go-ahead to prepare a report that will include an estimate of the entire cost of the proposed work and how much property owners along the roadway will be assessed.

Property owners are expected to be given formal notice of the assessment as early as this week and a public hearing will be scheduled for later this month. The public hearing has not ...
