The storm that was and wasn't continues to make its way across the East Coast, bringing heavy snow to some areas and a snowless 'snow-quester' to much of the Washington, D.C., area

This was "a tricky storm to predict," said meteorologist Bruce Sullivan with the National Weather Service in College Park, Md. Some areas were hit hard, others just got rain depending on their elevation and temperature fluctuations. The storm "just happened to straddle a high population area" so it wasn't clear who would be hit hard and who would just get soggy.
