Blues to take stage at Rothschild Pavilion

The musicians coming to perform Saturday at Rothschild Pavilion have their roots down in Mississippi, Tennessee or as near as Minnesota and Illinois yet they all showcase their love for the blues.

Great Northern Blues Society has once again pulled together a full menu for its annual Blues Cafe.

The live music begins at 1 p.m. with Donnie Pick & the Road Band, followed at 3 p.m. by Kilborn Alley Band, 5 p.m. show is the music of Grady Champion, at 7 p.m. a set from Sena Ehrhardt Band and wrapping up the night at 9 p.m. is blues guitarist Corey Stevens. In between mainstage acts, Robert "One-Man" Johnson will perform acoustic sets.

Tickets are $22 at the door or $17 in advance and available at Inner Sleeve Records, 209 Scott St., Wausau; Trig's, 110 S. 17th Ave., Wausau; and Arrow Sports Club, 6202 Schofield Ave., Weston.

All proceeds from the event are used to sustain the society's mission of promoting blues music in all of its forms for audiences of all ages through community outreach
