The Wisconsin Rapids City Council will consider plans to control the city's Canada goose population.

On Tuesday, members of the city Public Works Committee decided to move forward with a proposal from public works leaders to implement a plan to harvest the birds, whose numbers and waste have been causing problems, especially in city parks, Committee Chairman Tom Rayome said.
