The Republican leader of the state Assembly described the behavior of Rep. Brett Hulsey that led his aide to contact police as "odd" but said the Madison Democrat would not be disciplined.

Hulsey is under investigation for bringing a box cutter to the state Capitol and threatening to bring a gun.

"I think his behavior could be described fairly as odd," said Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester. "But, then again, at a workplace many times there are people who are a little more odd than some members." ...
