A Sunday fundraiser is set to support a pair of benefit funds honoring a pair of veterans .

The benefit for the Pvt. Chad Milquet Scholarship Fund held by the Desert Veterans of Wisconsin and Sgt. Dave Rasmussen Vets fund at Unity Hospice runs from 1-5 p.m. at the Four-Way Bar, 3171 Manitowoc Road.

It features raffles, burgers, brats, booyah, music by Moonshine and 16 ounce cans. There is a ceremony at 4 p.m. with a silent auction to follow. Must be 18 or older to attend.

Milquet served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Afghanistan and Iraq and was wounded during both deployments. He died shortly after his honorable discharge in 2006. His scholarship fund is set to assist returning veterans who want to attend college.

Rasumssen, who died in 2009, was a U.S. Army veteran of the 1991 Gulf War and worked with area veterans. He was instrumental in the formation of the Desert Veterans of Wisconsin. The Rasmussen fund at Unity Hospice is aimed at helping veterans pay for hospice and palliative care services, as well as room and board and hospice care services at the facility.
