MADISON -- Coach Chad Weinfurter looked into the crowd and spotted former head coach Tim Anderson. He found him and gave a fist pump and a wave, showing appreciation.

Everything and anything about Auburndale boys basketball was associated with former coach Anderson, but now his former assistant, Weinfurter, added his name to Auburndale lore Thursday night with a 49-29 state semifinal victory over Amherst at the Kohl Center.

Auburndale (26-1) faces defending Division 4 state champion Whitefish Bay Dominican (23-4) and Marquette-committed point guard Duane Wilson. ...
