"March Madness" has become the icon for all of the hoops hoopla in March. As we know, it begins for the high schools in February, travels through March and continues into April for the colleges.

The Catholic version of "March Madness" is much different. Chances are that at some point in March about 1.2 billion Catholics will know their international "champion" with the selection of the pope.
