Kewaunee Co. economy topic of meeting

LUXEMBURG - Kewaunee County Economic Development Corp. scheduled a legislative luncheon for 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at the Emergency Management Office at Kewaunee County Fairgrounds, 625 Third St.

Topics will include strategies for revitalizing the local economy, the state budget and Door Kewaunee Legislative Days in Madison.

State Sen. Frank Lasee (R-De Pere) and Rep. Garey Bies (R-Sister Bay) are among those invited to speak at the event. Lasee issued a news release Friday describing the meeting as a public forum for county residents.

Jennifer Brown, executive director of KCEDC, said the public is invited to attend, but the deadline to RSVP for lunch was Friday. Those attending the meeting but not eating lunch are not required to RSVP.
