Blaire Xiong was born and raised in Green Bay. After high school, she did a semester at NWTC until faced with single motherhood and education costs, Xiong had to put school on hold ... temporarily.

Her daughter is now four, Xiong is now 26. She's back at NWTC studying administration and still her school costs get tricky. So far, she has used a multi-pronged approach to paying for her schooling. Between scholarships, grants and internship at NWTC and a part-time job, Xiong is making it work by working hard, something she said she'll want to pass on to her daughter.
