Editor: The School District of Marshfield has earned an excellent reputation. Our teachers nurture, challenge and inspire classrooms of students with diverse abilities and needs. Annual test results document excellent achievement by our district's students year after year. Such a treasure in our community must not be taken for granted.

On April 2 voters should carefully select two new members to join our school board. This group will face incredible challenges as Wisconsin copes with a freeze in revenue limits and the reality of ever increasing operational costs.

Amber Leifheit is the only candidate with experience and a proven record of leadership for our district. She has shown her devotion to maintaining excellence in school programing while effectively dealing with financial realities.

The Marshfield Public School system's mission statement is simple. "Providing an environment that cultivates maximum student potential." Delivering on that statement is anything but simple. Please join me in voting for Amber Leifheit, who has proven to us that she can get the job done.
