Symphony orchestra hosts fourth-grade audience

The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra presented two morning concerts to fourth-graders on Feb. 22 at the Theater @1800 in the Sentry Insurance Complex, sponsored in part by the Dorothy Vetter Memorial Education Endowment Fund.

About 1,300 students from a four-county area participated in the free concerts.

The CWSO performed two movements from "The Firebird Suite" by Igor Stravinsky, followed by "Peter and the Wolf" by Sergei Prokofiev. The Point Dance Ensemble, directed by Pamela Luedtke, helped to tell the classic Russian tale, which was narrated by Wisconsin Public Radio's Jim ...
