Redevelopment of Wausau's west-side river district could be pushed back a year if the city and business owners can't agree on specifics of how the neighborhood should look.

The city had planned to spend $825,000 this summer to rebuild Second Avenue from Stewart Avenue to Elm Street to spur activity on Wausau's west side, but the project could be delayed if specific plans aren't ready by April or May in time for construction to begin in July.
