? When the Kewaunee Power Station closes in April or May, it will cost workers in Brown, Kewaunee and Manitowoc counties $85.5 million in annual income. There are 649 workers at the plant, and a study concluded its economic impact extends to 1,114 jobs in the three-county area.

? Marinette Marine will receive a new, $696 million contract to build two more U.S. Navy ships. The firm employs more than 1,400 people. The project is expected to extend for about five years.

? Southeastern Container will shed 47 jobs in Beloit when it closes its manufacturing plant there. The firm, which makes plastic bottles, will transfer the jobs to its plants in Illinois and Ohio.
