SNC women's hockey falls to top-ranked Plattsburgh in quarterfinal

Top-ranked Plattsburgh State dumped No. 8 St. Norbert College 5-2 on Saturday in a quarterfinal game of the NCAA Division III women's hockey tournament.

Plattsburgh State improved to 26-0-2 and advance to the Frozen Four next weekend in Superior. The Green Knights finished 18-10-2 after making their first NCAA appearance in just the third season of the program.

Plattsburgh State outshot SNC 38-15. Teal Gove, the nation's leading scorer, tallied twice for PSU, her 26th and 27th goals of the season. ...
