Colorado takes claim to an incredible historical tale of a rags-to-riches-back-to-rags love triangle. At the center of this legend is the most colorful character: beautiful Oshkosh-native Elizabeth McCourt Doe Tabor. There has been no shortage of hypotheses about her life, from endless Colorado tourist propaganda, internet sites, books, a 1930s Hollywood movie and even a 1950s American opera.
