During the early glory days of the Green Bay Packers, Eugene Brusky was a key player who never made a play.

He was the team doctor.

Hired by Coach Vince Lombardi in 1962, Brusky was a fixture on the sidelines until 1990. He could recall checking quarterback Bart Starr for concussions, helping fullback Jim Taylor get over the flu, and advising Lombardi on his own health problems. ...
