St. Patrick's Day isn't until Saturday, but Green Bay began observing a little early.

On Tuesday, Mayor Jim Schmitt hoisted a ceremonial street sign on Crooks Street to rename it "O'Flatley Court" at the Washington Street intersection.

The sign will remain until after Saturday's downtown holiday parade. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. at Crooks Street on the riverfront and continues north to the CityDeck. That will be followed by music, dance and a daytime fireworks show on the CityDeck. This will the fourth year for the downtown St. Patrick's Day event.
