Green Bay's downtown Clarion Hotel has been sold in a $2.8 million deal that city officials say will help clear the way for KI Convention Center expansion.

"This is very good news," Mayor Jim Schmitt said.

Long-discussed plans for expanding the convention center include connecting the facility to the neighboring Clarion Hotel, 200 Main St., formerly known as the Holiday Inn City Centre. ...
