De Pere High School's dance team had to improvise for its halftime performance during the WIAA Division 1 girls basketball sectional semifinal last week.

Its accompanying music on a CD didn't play over the sound system in the Ashwaubenon High School gymnasium, prompting the 17 girls on the squad to call out their counts as they did their routine.

That wasn't the only unbroken record that came to a stop there Thursday night. ...
