Letter: Obama must pay own tab for lifestyle trips

I have observed a concerning trend lately about our first lady. I noticed on the news that our first lady made it to the Oscars, and then just late last night I noticed for just a second (because I turned that channel in disdain) that Mrs. Obama was on the "Jimmy Fallon" show (that's if you want to call it a show). Boy. I really do hope and pray that all these flights and hotels and visits are on the Obama's budget/tab and NOT the American taxpayers.

The way things are today with American families scraping to get by with food costs rising, gas prices at almost $4 and, in some cases, $5 a gallon, unemployment still at around 7.9 percent to 8 percent, this situation goes a long way to describe how out of touch the White House is today. If this is a situation where Mrs. Obama is using Air Force 2 or whatever and not a regular charter (secure) flight paid for by her money and instead using taxpayer dollars, I really do think that:

? The American people need to stand up and say something about this absurd waste of our tax money for the Oscars/Fallon show.

? Congress is busy and I feel that the last thing they need is another headache but maybe it's time for congress to limit where and how Air Force 2 is being utilized by not funding it anymore.
