The principal of a Wisconsin Rapids school is one of six finalists for the Mosinee School District superintendent, a spokesman for the Marathon County-based school district said Wednesday.

Kevin Yeske, principal of East Junior High School, 311 Lincoln St., will be one of six finalists the Mosinee School Board will interview Wednesday and Thursday for the district's top executive position, said Brent Zimmerman, the district business manager. The board plans to winnow the field down and then conduct second interviews before choosing the person who will replace current Superintendent Jerry Rossa, who will retire at the end of June.

Yeske became junior high school principal in June during an administrative shakeup in the Wisconsin Rapids School District that left Lincoln High School with two vacant principal positions. Yeske previously served as associate principal for the high school.
