Two local legislators on Wednesday distributed a petition in support of Skyward Inc. to a number of state officials.

Sen. Julie Lassa, D-Stevens Point, and Rep. Katrina Shankland, D-Stevens Point, sent a petition with more than 4,000 signatures to Gov. Scott Walker, Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch and state Superintendent Tony Evers.

The petition asks Walker and the DOA to reconsider the decision to deny Stevens Point-based Skyward from selling software to schools in the state. ...
