March 14, 1938 - Renew request for Brown Co. nurse: The matter of employing a public health nurse for Brown County will be placed before the County Board at its regular March session starting Wednesday, members of the Insane and Sanatorium Committee decided at a meeting in the courthouse today.

The committee is in charge of the tuberculin tests of school children in Brown County, an appropriation for which was made by the board at its November meeting. Tests have already been conducted in Green Bay, De Pere and that part of the county west of the Fox River.

It will not be the first time that the County Board has been requested to provide funds for a county nurse. Objections by various members always defeated the plan in the past, but various interested groups are said to be back of it stronger than ever.
