Brian Regan has become the comedic master of the mundane.

Not that his act is dull - it's the opposite, really, full of cartoonish flailing and strutting - but it's in the unexciting elements of everyday life where Regan has found his funny for more than 20 years.

The only catch to mining jokes from the relatable grind of eye appointments, refrigerator shopping and Pop-Tart cooking is that after a certain amount of success, a comedian's life becomes less and less like that of his or her audience. ...
