It takes a good deal of training, it's for charity, it's rewarding and it's exhausting - just like a real marathon. The only difference is there's almost no running.

The so-called "Funniest Marathon You'll Never Run" is the annual comedy marathon put on by ComedyCity Improv at the Green Room Lounge, 353 Main Ave., De Pere, where instead of running 26.2 miles, members of the improv troupe will perform for 26.2 hours, starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
