More than two years have passed since our community so graciously gave to provide our animals with an updated, state of the art facility.
South Wood County Humane Society's new home has enabled us to serve more animals, improve standards of care and promote responsible pet ownership through training and education classes. In addition, the facility allows for onsite spay/neuter of all animals prior to adoption.
During the capital campaign, we were committed to being good stewards of your generosity, using materials from the old shelter whenever possible. As such, several cat kennels in fair condition came to the new facility to build the cat nursery. These cages served us well, but have deteriorated significantly and will not last for the imminent influx of kittens we expect to care for this spring.
New cages will allow us to house more kittens, in a healthier environment. In addition, the cages will reduce vet expenses by limiting the spread of illnesses and, in turn, will reduce the number of days these new kittens wait for a new forever homes.
SWCHS will access remaining capital campaign funds to expedite the process, but we need your help to meet the full need. Please consider sponsoring a nursery kennel for one of the precious kittens that will find SWCHS as its temporary home. We will proudly display the donor's name or a "in memory or honor of" placard in the nursery as a thank you for your generous $300 gift.
There are multiple ways to give. Simply send a check via the mail or donate online using our PayPal account by visiting www.swchs.com. All gifts are tax-deductible, and donors will receive a receipt.
Thank you supporting South Wood County Humane Society and our community's homeless animals that depend on us.
