Fond du Lac officers amp up patrol for St. Patrick's Day

In an effort to crack down on drunken driving, more law enforcement officers will be on duty St. Patrick's Day Weekend through a grant provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office Capt. Rick Olig said St. Patrick's Day weekend is typically busy.

Additional officers will patrol Fond du Lac County, including the cities of Fond du Lac, Ripon, and Waupun, and in the towns and villages of Rosendale, North Fond du Lac and Campbellsport. State Patrol officers will also be on the alert for drunken drivers, according to a press release. ...
