ALLOUEZ - Cucumbers, tomatoes, greens and maybe even a cabbage.
Veronica Johnson plans to grow each of those vegetables in a garden later this year when she moves into her first home at 720 E. Allouez Ave. On Thursday evening, Johnson was scheduled to receive the keys to the blue, two-bedroom ranch-style house, which was built through the Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity program.
"I think it's wonderful how they help families achieve their goals of owning their own home," she said. "It's just overwhelming. It's a blessing." ...
