Wolfie, a half-shepherd, half-nobody-really-knows puppy, was slated for euthanization in a Georgia animal shelter before some Northeastern Wisconsin residents stepped in to help. Now a resident of the local Happily Ever After Animal Shelter, he has a new lease on life.

But Wolfie and hundreds of other animals in shelters in the Green Bay area face another problem: homelessness. A shelter operator says the problem could get worse as the weather warms and cats begin producing offspring. ...
