ONEIDA - Well, that certainly didn't take long. Within mere days of leaks detailing Obama's directives to the Department of the Interior and likely every other department as well to select sequester spending cuts specifically aimed to "make it hurt," the Green Bay Press-Gazette embraced similar marching orders to run stories, or should I say, "create scenarios" to similar effect. I specifically refer to your front-page piece "Milwaukee airport's tower could lose staff."
"Could"? The sky "could" fall, but you didn't write about that possibility. Make it hurt.
Your recent editorial stated your support to bear down on gun ownership through Draconian and intrusive background checks for exercising Second Amendment rights. Inalienable, constitutionally protected rights, I might add. I don't recall ever seeing a single word from the editor regarding Obama refusing the release of his college transcripts. Nothing said when Obama stonewalled his birth certificate controversy for three years. You support intruding into our lives for background checks but Obama gets a pass. Really? What gives here, did someone in the Obama camp threaten you, too?
Propaganda as journalism gets the scorn it deserves. Renaming your paper Pravda is less disingenuous. Go ahead. Make it hurt.
