The Kewaunee Storm girls basketball team is in Green Bay to defend its WIAA Division 3 state championship, after a hard-fought 54-40 sectional championship victory over Appleton Xavier on March 9.

Only two challenges stand ahead of Kewaunee and a repeat Division 3 state title: They were scheduled to take on Lodi (24-2) in a semifinal game at 9:05 a.m. March 15, and the winner plays for the state title on March 16.

Kewaunee head coach Lynn Geier said she is proud of the way the team has fought to get this far. ...
