East Troy's defensive adjustment slows down Lindner, Warriors

Through two quarters of Neillsville's WIAA Division 3 state semifinal matchup against East Troy, the Warriors' Jenny Lindner was on a scoring pace that would put her among the top players in the tournament's history.

The junior went 12 of 13 from the free throw line and had 22 points to help the Warriors to a 32-28 lead at the break. While Jolene Anderson's tournament record of 46 points in a game would have been a long shot, it wasn't beyond at least a discussion at that point.

But with three of his starters picking up two fouls in the first half - including guard Alicia Oleson who opened the game ...
