Editor: Since moving to Marshfield in 2006, I have had the opportunity to become deeply involved in many projects to promote and enhance our community and to create an environment that fosters the development of healthy, happy and well educated youth.
I have met and worked with some amazing people who have a strong commitment to our community and to our youth. Amber Leifheit, in particular, stands out as one of those people.
From providing guidance to community groups related to fundraising and fiscal management to volunteering for community events, Amber has consistently demonstrated her commitment to Marshfield as well as a high degree of integrity and business acumen.
When I consider this very important school board election, and I see the level and mistrust that is being articulated by several candidates, it becomes very clear to me that we need someone like Amber Leifheit elected to the school board.
In a time when there are debates and accusations about transparency and conspiracy, I am concerned that the issues related to ensuring the provision of a well-rounded education will get lost in the divisive politics at play. As a person who is active in this community, and most importantly as the mother of two young children, I know that Amber is motivated by a deep commitment to our youth. It is with great confidence that I will cast my ballot in support of Amber. I invite you to join me.
