When it comes to Gov. Scott Walker's proposed 2013-15 state budget, the two lawmakers representing Oshkosh in the state Assembly have unsurprisingly different outlooks.

In the eyes of Rep. Gordon Hintz, D-Oshkosh, the budget isn't great - but it's not bad. In particular, Hintz said he's pleased with the nearly $29 million in additional state money the governor proposed for treating mental illness, and an $11 million investment aimed at protecting victims of domestic violence by expanding care and centers for the abused and their children.
