Girls basketball teams take in Lambeau Field lore

Superior girls basketball coach Phil Roe knows that every tradition has a beginning.

During a brief tour of Lambeau Field on Friday afternoon, he recalled the last time he had been to the famed stadium back in 1993, when a spontaneous celebration after a touchdown grew into a Green Bay Packers player ritual.

"The last time I was at Lambeau Field I was 12 years old and saw LeRoy Butler do the first ever Lambeau Leap after Reggie White pitched him the ball," he said while walking towards the tunnel to get a view of the legendary football field. ...
