Kewaunee girls basketball coach Lynn Geier is hoping to lead the Storm to a second consecutive WIAA state championship today at the Resch Center.

That in itself is a rare accomplishment, but what is even more unique is that Geier finds herself in the overwhelming minority in her field.

In an unofficial survey of Wisconsin high schools covering the 2011-2012 school year, a staggering 80.7% of the girls basketball coaches were men. ...
