Editor: Marshfield Area Pet Shelter, or MAPS, would like to thank all the terrific people and businesses who helped make our fundraiser on Feb. 24 a complete success.

To the businesses who advertised for us, to the very generous donors, the amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly and all who attended, we are forever grateful. A special thank you to Charlotte Kruse for her wonderful donation. We'd also like to thank the Knights of Columbus staff: Scott, Steve, Dorothy, Butch and Bob for once again providing first class service in helping us with this event. The blueberry pancakes were heavenly. Many thanks to Lynn Dairy for donating the delicious cheese curds.

We are also thankful for all the supportive businesses that sponsored our breakfast placemat. We would like to express sincere gratitude to the Marshfield Area Community Foundation. Because of them, charitable causes like MAPS are given the opportunity to reach their goals. We appreciate the MACF and the service they provide for the betterment of our community.

We are very thankful for the support we have received from this great community, but we need the continued efforts of the entire community to build this much needed animal shelter for the Marshfield area. We need everyone to embrace our cause in order to be successful. Please consider donating your time to this very important project, so we all can reap the beneficial rewards of our hard work to save lives. If you want to help, please call me at 715-207-6093. Saving one animal won't change the world, but it surely will change the world for that one animal (adapted from Richard C. Call).
