Algoma residents to vote on storm-water control plan

The Algoma Town Board has scheduled a special elector's meeting in hopes of getting approval to take the next step in reducing flooding and removing pollutants from water bodies in the area.

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. March 26 at the Algoma Town Hall, 15 N. Oakwood Road. Residents will vote on whether to give the board authority to negotiate the purchase of land to begin work on a regional detention basin east of Olde Apple Acres.
