'Guns and Hoses' to raise funds for police, firefighters

A local bowling alley will hold a new fundraiser next month to benefit police and firefighters in Sheboygan.

The inaugural Guns and Hoses Bowling Benefit at Maple Lanes will accept pledges from both individual bowlers and teams. The money will be donated to the Sheboygan Police Department's K-9 Unit and to the Sheboygan Fire Department to assist with purchasing new rescue equipment.

Organizers are hoping to attract up to 250 bowlers and raise $10,000 for what they say will be an annual event going forward. ...
