WBAY Pet Expo has something for everyone
No matter what your pet, you're bound to find something for it at the eighth annual WBAY Pet Expo opening Friday at Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena in Ashwaubenon.
The popular three-day event features the Fantasy Corral Petting Zoo, Rhia the Painting Horse and reptile specialists Creature Teachers. New this year are the K9 Olympics. Hosted by Clever K9s of Kaukauna, dogs will compete in flyball or agilty at 5 and 6 p.m. Friday, 11:30 a.m., 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 and 1:30 p.m. March 24. The awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m. will be hosted by Bill Jartz of WBAY, Channel 2.
Vendors specializing in pet treats, toys, holistic food, training, grooming and memorial services will be on hand, along with area animal rescue groups.
It runs 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $7 adults, $6 ages 62 and older, $2 ages 6-12, free 5 and younger and $10 weekend pass. Patrons are not allowed to bring pets.
Nicolet Dog Club is again offering spring obedience classes.
Orientation is 7 p.m. Wednesday at Green Bay Southwest High School. Classes begin April 3. Call (920) 265-2305.
