Green Bay man convicted in 4 burglaries

OCONTO - A Green Bay man faces 50 years of prison following his conviction in Oconto County of four felony burglary counts.

John Birk, 47, is set for sentencing May 30 before Oconto County Circuit Judge Michael Judge, who will consider several additional burglary charges that were dismissed but are to be read into the record at sentencing.

According to the criminal complaint, Birk planned and carried out burglaries at gas stations, restaurants and convenience stores in Oconto and Outagamie counties in the summer of 2012. In several ...
