Wood County Board to consider dangerous animal ordinance

The Wood County Board is set to discuss a plan Tuesday that would establish a countywide dangerous animal ordinance.

If enacted, the ordinance would give Wood County Sheriff's Department deputies and the county humane officers the tools they need to deal with dangerous animals, according to the proposal submitted by the Wood County Public Safety, Judicial and Legislative Committee. The County Board will consider the ordinance at its meeting 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the County Board Room at the Wood County Courthouse in Wisconsin Rapids.
