Jost/Disher case headed for trial

A trial date is set for Amherst-area residents accused of cashing Social Security checks belonging to their mother, who is presumed dead.

Charles Jost, along with Ronald and Dolores Disher, are scheduled for a five-day trial starting Oct. 21 in Portage County Circuit Court branch No. 3.

Jost, 66, his sister, Dolores Disher, 70, and her husband, Ronald Disher, 72, are accused of cashing the Social Security checks of his mother, Marie Jost. Marie Jost, along with Charles and Dolores's brother, Theodore Jost, have been missing and authorities presume they are dead. ...
